Position Overview and Responsibilities

As an Account Director in The Consumer Team of FHF, you will be the day-to-day lead for accounts in the ConsumerHealth sector and play a key role in driving excellent client service and delivery of results across your accounts.

As an Account Director you will be responsible for supporting Directors in driving forward key accounts. This includes responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients and managing teams to ensure delivery of activity to a consistently high standard. Part of the role will also be supporting the Directors in reviewing and driving forward client strategy, developing plans and spotting opportunities for organic growth.

Beyond client work, you will be accountable for championing best practice and high standards across the core skills within the Consumer Team including copy writing, idea generation and brainstorming, supplier liaison, talent and influencer programmes, proposal development and media strategies.

You’ll be a champion of creative brainstorming and working with the team and Creative Director to bring new ideas and concepts to your clients. And you will coach and lead the team – along with your AD peer group – to be ambassadors across the agency and network.

Finally, you will work with your peer group on capacity planning, drive new business for the team, especially within the travel and tourism sectors, forecast revenue and ensure organic growth across your clients while being a central part of the team’s reputation internally and externally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Being the day-to-day lead on a portfolio of accounts for top consumer health brands
  • Building and managing relationships with our key clients in several markets
  • Managing multiple brand projects and being responsible for their successful delivery
  • Contributing to the creation of innovative communications campaigns spanning traditional and social channels
  • Using your media relations skills and network to gain the best coverage for clients
  • Identifying opportunities to grow the account and bring in new projects
  • Working closely with other FHF practices and the FH network offices to ensure an integrated approach
  • Management, direction and development of junior team members
Qualifications
  • Successfully delivered campaigns across multiple channels
  • Knowledge and understanding of the consumer health industry and target audience
  • Experience of managing high profile, blue chip accounts – international experience an advantage
  • A good understanding of social media channels and how they fit into an integrated communications campaign
  • Up to date knowledge on cultural trends that will enable you to council clients and colleagues
  • A proven ability to develop and sustain client relationships that are deep and enduring
  • An ability to objectively critique and deliver creative work across platforms based on data insights
  • The ability – and initiative – to inspire your clients and your team
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a positive and proactive outlook
  • Strong account management experience (planning, budgeting, financial management)
